![]() Players are able to try out the product, see how it handles, what obstacles it can overcome and then, due to the high popularity level of the game, players associate Jeep with the game and therefor see it in a higher light than say a Ford Mustang. The Jeep Wrangler example previously mentioned demonstrates both demonstrative and associative advertising. But I like that Bogust drew it out to fully describe the different types to be demonstrative, illustrative, and associative. When playing video games I’ve always noticed little ways ads or actual products were places in the games (such as the new Jeep Wrangler in the newest Call of Duty to be release or the soda machines mentioned that can be seen in multiple video games) but I’ve yet to see the difference in them. ![]() As an aspiring advertising major, I immediately dove into his advertising section. ![]()
